The Penguin Chillers 1/2 HP High Efficiency (HE) Water Chiller is the essential companion for keeping your cold plunge perfectly chilled. This small but mighty chiller offers a cooling capacity of 5,750 BTU/hr and is designed to maintain your water temperature as low as 37 °F even in hot and humid conditions.

This chiller is much quieter than other chillers on the market and hums at a gentle 56 dBA while running. It's been thoughtfully designed for easily connecting to a tub with its 1-inch NPT inlet and outlet ports. It is compact in size, with dimensions of 16.25”W x 14.75”D x 12”H, and weighs in at 40 lbs. It comes with a 1-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty with extended warranty options available.

This top-tier 1/2 HP chiller delivers on performance as well as energy efficiency. While both the standard 1/2 HP and 1/2 HP HE models are equipped with the same compressor, the HE model offers superior cooling while using less power, thanks to its larger titanium coil.

This chiller is a great addition to your DIY cold plunge setup along with a pump, filter & tubing. We recommend the Danner Mag-drive 950gph – 1800gph pump. Other pumps may work, although they need to be rated for less than 10psi max pressure. For filters, a 10-Inch Water Filter Housing + Penguin Chillers Replacement Filters will be perfect for keeping your water clean. We recommend changing the filter every 4-6 weeks.

Awesome product and great customer service

First off, this product is American made!!! The penguin chiller arrived in a timely manner without any damages and in pristine condition. I bought the chiller for my DIY ice bath, which was super simple to install. The unit came with an easy to follow instructions and it’s simple to operate. The chiller quickly drops the desired temperature pretty quickly. I filled my ice bath with my water hose, which ended up to be around 58-60 degrees. I set my desired temperature at 45 degrees, which took the unit only three hours to reach that temperature.
Before I bought the unit, I had a couple of questions about their product and Nick responded to my questions quickly. Before the chiller was shipped, I was updated by Michelle that my unit is coming and attached the instruction manual to my email. That is awesome that they kept me in the loop about when I should be receiving my product. I had a good experience all around and I will definitely buy from Carbon Wellness again.Thank you.

Love it.

Just got my Chiller in and hooked up to my system. It is relatively quiet, cools quickly, and works as it should. When I placed the order I was told a 6-8 wk turnaround time due to high demand which was a bummer but they got it to me quicker than expected. I am happy with the purchase and excited to get to plunging.

Finally took the plunge and bought the chiller

I had my DIY cold plunge set up. It was well insulated but still warmed about ten degrees a day. If I missed a few days the water would be 80 to 90 degrees. Adding ice and draining/filling the tub was becoming a pain and a constant drip of money at Costco or Sam's buying ice. I received the 1/2 HP Penguin chiller Saturday and had it up and running the next day. I have been plunging every morning and between sauna rounds when I sauna. The constant temperature range between 39 and 44 degree has been nice. The effort is now spent getting out of bed and into the tank. Chiller is relatively quiet and doesn't attract attention when running.
