I have been a licensed psychologist since 1982, and since 1992 a mental health counselor, Neurotherapist, and trauma specialist. Clinically I specialize in treating a host of disorders that affect me personally: Complex PTSD, depression, mild head injury, cognitive issues, and over the last 20 years, stage 4 kidney disease causing serious problems with fatigue.
I recently purchased the new DAVID Premier and decided to make use of its many new and in some cases unique features. Based upon my readings in the neuroscience of traumatic stress, I developed the hypothesis that I was possibly dopamine deficient, and that mild brain stimulation at 40 Hz using sound/light and Cranial Electric Stimulation would help boost and regulate dopamine production and/or processing. This in turn, hopefully, would elevate mood and motivation. I have modified my diet and lifestyle to help support dopamine production, with only mild or transient results.
Upon beginning a daily regimen of DAVID Premier 40 Hz programs, I have developed an ability to go every morning from low energy, terrible mood, and low motivation to do anything constructive to feeling happy, even excited to be alive, and robust motivation to initiate and complete important tasks. I had previously relied on Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy (pEMF) devices and photobiomodulation devices to stimulate the brain at 40 Hz targeting key dopamine production and transport centers in the left hemisphere. I find that the DAVID Premier cost-effectively outperforms those modalities to presumably stimulate normal dopamine processing and the enormous clinical benefits that are obtained.
The effects have been so dramatic that I find I can skip days where I use the dopamine/40 Hz programs; the results are that long lasting. We are all unique beings medically and psychologically, and no one size fits all, but if anyone fits the published behavioral profiles of the dopamine deficient, I urge those individuals to explore what this technology might be able to do for you with the assistance of an experienced and trained clinician.
Thanks to the folks at Mind Alive Inc. and the amazing Dave Siever, creator of this wonderful technology.
