Soft Shell Chambers: Pressure, Weight and Setup

Soft shell chambers, also called soft hyperbaric chambers or inflatable hyperbaric chambers, use a flexible shell held in shape by a frame, not a steel body. That keeps them light enough to move and set up yourself.

• Pressure: 1.4 or 1.5 ATA, the mild hyperbaric range. 1.5 ATA is about the pressure you'd feel 16 feet underwater, and you can start lower and work up.
• Weight: the lying chambers weigh about 30 to 37 pounds, so you can move one to another room.
• Setup: plan 1 to 2 hours. Every order includes a free Zoom setup call, or we can assemble it on site for $250.
• Space and power: a lying chamber needs about 8 by 11 feet of floor, including the equipment, and runs on standard outlets. The Heal40 stands 75 inches tall, so check your ceiling.
