How do I know if I need this filter?
If you use a reverse osmosis system, use distilled water, or have low TDS content in your water supply, this is the filter you need. You can check the TDS in your area by visiting this website and inputting your zip code: https://www.zerowater.com/tds.php?.
If your water source is below 50 total deposited sediment (TDS), you need the Echo Internal Remineralization Filter for the Echo H2® Machine, Echo 9 Machine™, Echo 9 Ultra Machine™, and Echo Ultimate™.
If your area is above 50 TDS and you have an Echo H2® Machine, Echo 9 Machine™, Echo 9 Ultra Machine™, or Echo Ultimate™, you need the Echo Replacement Filter.
In areas of TDS higher than 200, it is recommended that you clean your machine with an Echo Cleaning Cartridge for the Echo H2® Machine, Echo 9 Machine™, Echo 9 Ultra Machine™, or Echo Ultimate™ every three to six months.
